BlazBlue - Dating Sim?

Since I have the majority of the BlazBlue sprites, I've been pondering over whether or not to make some type of BlazBlue fan game, such as a dating sim. However, the mythos behind the BlazBlue universe is so complicated that I think I would have to do some research beforehand. I've played through the story in both Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift, but it's just so complicated for a fighting game...but I don't mind, I love those games. Of course, I'll wait until I'm done with my current projects and school work before I even get around to planning this game out.
